Please join us on this journey, as every voice is welcome and will be heard. This is how we heal the wounds of the past and cement the bonds of humanity going forward. This office is committed to calling people in and not calling people out so that our shared challenges can be met more effectively. But, with all we accomplish all, even peace. This is consistent with the motto selected for the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion вЂ“ There can be no perfect democracy curtailed by color, race, poverty. These are all foundational components for fostering a culture where all are valued and respected for who they are and the talents that they bring forward. A practice that closes gaps between student groups increases student engagement and learning and enhances educator efficacy. This approach provides us with the best opportunity to move the District towards a more equitable practice.

This is the true meaning of the word equity. The Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion will work with all stakeholders to create an environment where every student and their family will receive what they need when they need it.
